Someone in your family is about to have a day that matters. A bar mitzvah, an eightieth, a retirement. There are photographs of that person going back decades: in a drawer, on a phone, in a folder nobody has opened since 2015.
Turning those into a film a room will sit and watch is real work. It means choosing which photographs carry the story, finding music that fits, and cutting the two together so they land. People who do it by hand charge between $149 and $850 and take a week. Most families give up and make a slideshow.
What we built
Software that makes the editing decisions. It reads your photographs, writes the story, composes music for that story, and cuts the film to the music. You answer a few questions and upload what you already have.
We are not a film crew
There is no editor and no filmmaker here. It is software, and we say so plainly, because the alternative is letting you believe a person is sitting with your family's photographs.
That is what makes it $80 instead of $400. The cost is that a first attempt is not always right. So you read the whole plan of your film before you pay anything, and you get three rounds of changes after you watch it.
Your photographs
These are family photographs. Some of them are of people who have died. So:
- We do not use face recognition, and we store nothing measured from a face.
- We do not sell your data. We run no advertising, analytics or tracking.
- Every photograph, video and film is stored privately and served only through a link signed for your account, which expires.
- You can download everything we hold about you, or delete your account and all of it, from your profile menu.
